I love learning.

 

Throughout my professional life I haven't gone for more than a month without taking a class, course, or been involved in an intellectual pursuit.  I simply love learning. I own more backpacks than purses.  

 

I am currently in my second post-doctoral training program as a psychologist.  For the past six years, I've been studying psychoanalysis at New York University. The more I know the more I want to know.

 

Psychologists training as psychoanalysts are some of the most highly trained and skilled in their profession. They spend years undergoing their own analyses, presenting and writing papers, debating ideas and concepts, and have a real thirst for deepening their knowledge.

My approach makes use of psychoanalytic, cognitive behavioral and motivational techniques, as appropriate to each individual client.  My style is strongly rooted in examining elements of one's present situation in the context of desire, longing and aggression, some of which are born out of our past experiences.

 

I work to give you those all important, "ah-ha" moments where things simply begin to make sense.
