Most therapy sessions occur weekly, although I might recommend twice weekly sessions depending on your particular needs and goals.  

intensive psychotherapy

For those wanting to tackle those deep, pervasive and long-standing problems, intensive work is required.  If you have the time (3x per week), this is the solution.
